CISF Constable / Driver Notification 2024

Applications are open for male Indian citizens for temporary Constable/Driver roles in CISF. Pay Level-3 (₹21,700-69,100) with allowances. Selection involves PET, PST, Documentation, Trade Test, Written Exam, and Medical Exam under CISF rules and the National Pension System.

Eligibility for the Post: Constable / Driver & Driver Cum Pump Operator

Criteria Details
Educational Qualification Must have passed Class 10th from a recognized board in India.
Driving License Requirement Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle / Light Motor Vehicle / Motor Cycle with Gear driving license.
Driving Experience Minimum of 3 years.
Height Requirement 167 cm
Chest Measurement 80-85 cm
Physical Fitness Tests 800-meter run, long jump, high jump

Physical Standards

NOTE: ESM candidates are eligible for total relaxation in physical standards. However, their physical standards will be measured and recorded in documents.

c) All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes 160 Cms Minimum 76 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 CMs i.e. 76 - 81

Medical Standards

Criteria Details
Examination Conducted as per Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and ARs.
Weight Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Physical Defects No knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint in eyes. Must be in good mental and bodily health.
Eye Sight Visual Acuity unaided (Near Vision): Better eye – N6, Worse eye – N6
Uncorrected visual acuity (Distant Vision): Better eye – 6/6, Worse eye – 6/6
Refraction: No visual correction permitted.
Colour Vision: CP II by ISIHARA
Remarks: Binocular vision required.
Tattoos Content: Religious symbols or names allowed as per Army norms.
Location: Traditional sites like inner aspect of left forearm or dorsum of hands.
Size: Less than ¼ of the particular part of the body.

Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Servicemen

Criteria Details
Rank Sepoy, Lance Naik, Havildar, or equivalent rank in Army, Air Force, or Navy with a valid driving license.
Definition of Ex-Servicemen
  • Retired/relieved/discharged from service with pension.
  • Discharged on medical grounds with a disability pension.
  • Released after specific period of engagement with gratuity.
  • Territorial Army pension holders.
  • Army Postal Service personnel retired without reversion.
  • Gallantry award winners.
  • Ex-recruits boarded out due to medical reasons with disability pension.
Age Deduction of military service period from actual age, with an additional 3 years relaxation.
Education Matriculation or equivalent qualification from Army, Air Force, or Navy.
Character on Discharge Exemplary/Very Good. Discharge certificate required during verification.
Medical Category Should be “A” (AYE) or “SHAPE-1” at time of discharge. Must meet prescribed medical standards.

Exam Composition

The Written Examination consists of one objective-type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks with the following subjects:

  • Part – A: General Knowledge/Awareness - 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Part – B: Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics - 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Part – C: Analytical Aptitude - 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Part – D: Ability to Observe and Distinguish - 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Part – E: Basic Knowledge of English/Hindi - 20 Questions (20 Marks)

Duration: 120 Minutes

Additional Information

  • All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice type.
  • The exam will be conducted in English and Hindi.
  • No negative marking.
  • Minimum qualifying marks:
    • UR/EWS/Ex-Servicemen: 35%
    • SC/ST/OBC: 33%
  • Written Examination will be of 10th standard.
